This stadium, located in the center of West-Australia, has over 6.000 seats. In 2002 the woman worldcup championships were held here. The Netherlands ended up 2nd place that year.

Is also called the Wembley of hockey. This Malaysian national hockey stadium in Kuala Lumpur can accommodate 14,000 visitors. In 2002 this stadium was the backdrop for the World Championships for men. Orange took the bronze.

2. Wagener Stadion

The Wagener Stadion, named after former chairman Joop Wagener of Amsterdam, is perhaps the best-known and most tradition-rich stadium in the world. The 'Wagener' dates back to 1939 and was the scene for many international tournaments and competitions. And that will remain so in the future: in 2017, after a thorough renovation of the stadium, the European Championships will take place at this legendary location in the Amsterdamse Wood.

1. National Hockey Stadium Lahore

The national hockey Stadium of Pakistan, by some called the 'Gadaffi Hockey Stadium', has no less than 45 thousand seats. The very first edition of the Champions Trophy took place at the stadium in Lahore. That was in 1978, of course still on natural grass. On February 23, 1990, the Dutch men (photo: Marc Delissen and Jacques Brinkman) became world champion by defeating Pakistan 3-1 in the final home country.
